Summertime

What is your favorite season? Mine is summer. I love the warmth, the cool summer mornings and going barefoot. It is a time I can swim outside, hike in the mountains, take long walks, have people over to eat on the deck and zoom around on Puget Sound in our boat. My childhood summers on Long Island evoke the sound of cicadas outside my bedroom window while falling asleep. In the Northwest the sun sets late and I enjoy every second of light, thankful for another summer day.
