Greek Islands
Picture windmills, whitewashed buildings, royal-blue domes, towns that perch on hills, and the Aegean Sea. What can I say about the Sea? You are surrounded by its deep blue and its beauty. It is perfect to swim in ─ warm and salty ─ and you are buoyant as you propel through it. Boats call it home: cruise ships, tiny motorboats, yachts for the rich and famous. Eat a gyros and a Greek salad topped with kalamata olives while watching the sun slide quickly into the sea. Afterwards, hang out and talk to the local people who are robust and friendly. There are hundreds of Greek islands. I have hopped on boats and snapped pictures on eight. I can’t wait to return.
