Angels

I don’t know much about angels. The ones I am picturing are mostly women with large wings. They are depicted in churches and museums as paintings or sculptures carved out of marble. They protect and guide humans. When I was young someone told me I had a guardian angel I could talk to, but I didn’t quite understand that concept. I know that if someone calls you “an angel” it is a compliment because the connotation is that you do nice things for others like religious angels who act as intermediaries between humans and God. When I read up about angels, male angels were written about much more than female angels but female angels are depicted more in statues. Also, I learned that many religious traditions besides Christianity believe in and honor angels.
